“Our vision is to enhance the imagining ability of young minds and then equip them with the courage to visualize beyond limits”.

SofTecSOFTEC, “Pride of FAST”, is a name which makes heads turn. People stop to listen and talk about it. It is one of the most exciting Software Extravagances every year which attracts institutions, students and groups from all over Pakistan. Over the years it has become a standard yardstick for any event with which it covers diverse competitions. Organized by students of FAST-NU, since 1995, it has made its mark on the pages of academic history of Pakistan.

SOFTEC is a two day I.T extravaganza which has been taking place since the past 15 years at national level. It is a journey of 7 months of great zeal and enthusiasm, hard work and diligence. Students from all over Asia now compete in the Software Competitions such as the Bilal Hashmi Programming Competition, G3n.X Gaming Competition, Microcontroller Interfacing Competition, and the Engineering Projects. IdeasXtreme (where students from Grade School display their ideas), Microcontroller Interfacing Competition, Kidz Corner, TechNext (Hardware Exhibition), Software House Enclosure, ISP Enclosure, Education Enclosure, Web Hosting Enclosure, Book Fair and much more.

This year SOFTEC will organize its 6th International event with a Team of highly talented and energetic students. The society’s executive body for SOFTEC 2010 earlier this year which comprises of:

FAST-NU

This is the ceremony that marks the beginning of a journey which is long and full of vaults, but it also highlights the emergence with glory. Various software houses show great interest as its sponsors. It is due to the highly reputable sponsorships and hardwork of the SOFTEC Team that SOFTEC is successful every year.
