Don’t worry Twitter has not died yet but is very much alive. From the past few weeks instead of asking its members what they are doing, it wants to tell everyone what it is going through, and we have come across the fact that it is going through a real hard time. But the spammers are slowly and gradually spamming the twitter world completely. The 140-character postings is now providing unlimited entertainment but at the same time they are dying every second.
It is believed that time is not far away when it will be dead, gone and spammed in its entirety. Some criticize and say that there isn’t any Twitter spam blocker in the scene. No one can possibly cancel your accounts. People on the service add those whom they know and whom they trust completely, or rather they trust almost everyone on the scene. And with shortened URLs, there’s no way to find out where the other person is sending you until you’ve already arrived at a particular point. It is an ideal world to spread spam.
Fake profiles can be easily created and on the other hand it is even more difficult to find and report the real spammers as there is no reporting option. People have said that these are such basic things which should be added in the beginning and proper precautions should be taken. Now it seems that twitter has done this deliberately just to impede its own growth. But at the same time this can also be taken into consideration that twitter is making its own television show in order to gain more popularity across the globe.
Skype easily allows you to block people unwanted people or spammers, but as far as twitter is concerned this facility is not available. Future is very clear and can easily be predicted that in a year Twitter feeds will be completely spammed. Spam will kill Twitter’s usefulness for everyone but relentless Internet marketers, unless the intellects can figure out a better way to block it and save the twitter world with their genius ideas.
Otherwise, happy spamming.

There is a reporting option in twitter … its the twitter spam bot (www.twitter.com/spam) just send a DM to spam bot with only the ID of the account that is spamming you and they would take action against it. Similarly there is an option to BLOCK a twitter account too.
