Google has become almost synonymous with search. Whenever we want to research we open our browser to Google. Then, we use the Google search engine to search for other search engines. This process goes on and on while we Google to Google other search engines. CONFUSED!!!
Google is the verb. It owns the word for search. We don’t say search we always refer to it as Google. Google this, Google that. This ambitious nature of Google has led it to own the word search and this is what makes Google synonymous to search itself.
Well we can name Google as the King of All Search Engines.
There are many reasons why Google enjoys this Royalty. Other search engines such as Bing, from Microsoft , are struggling even harder to attain what Google has attained during its current reign.
First reason is Google’s anxiety. Google is all the time anxious to move ahead of its competitors. And with this anxiousness it provides its competitor with different ways for destruction. These competitors, on the other hand, are moving very fast rushing towards innovation and creating something new every passing minute. They are fighting amongst each other all the time, in order to get hold of large chunk of the profits and the gains.
Google maybe a Giant, but the constant unease makes it move forward, to do better than others and provide its users with new and innovative products all the time. This is the reason why everyone is stuck with Google. Google has all the power of being at the top and then maintaining its position there. Pervasive it is. Every other individual is strongly drawn towards its every page making navigation all the more easier. And then it’s not you navigating through its search bar, it is Google navigating you. Offering other services such as documents, videos, Reader, maps, books and what not. Whatever you want is right there, searching you on Google.
The anxiety stricken Paranoia continues and Google moves forward. It fears all the time that another search engine will come along the way and redefine the search engine market completely. With latest unthinkable innovation, changing the rules of the game, and moving the cheese far far away, where none can reach. Or it can move things upside down leaving Google’s million dollar bank empty in its entirety.
Did you know that Microsoft was founded by two bright young hackers? These young and bright folks changed the way, or rather created the way computers were to be used for times yet to come. There must be someone somewhere plotting Google’s destruction as well.
Many search engines such as Bing, askjeeves etc etc came, made their mark and then disappeared in the shadows; some are still there, but are hidden behind the bushes waiting to pounce and become the next giant in the world of web.
Google’s brand dominance is not under threat at all from what we observe. But the continuous competition always results as a threat. This threat followed by anxiety stricken Paranoia keeps Google on the throne and other search engines on their toes and up-to-date.
