Oops!!! Did You Just Thought PC Was My Personal Computer nahhhh.....Its My Personal Car
Today we meet again discussing the LOAD which the government has been shedding on the country and its people from the past few years. Load shedding was an hourly thing in summers, but we thank Allah greatly, as in winters, He has bestowed us with electricity 24/7.
The heat in summers is unbearable. Without a fan or a cooler, many problems occur and life becomes totally miserable.
We continuously pray for the summer season to end. So that we don’t have to bare the scorching heat. Since generators and UPS are the only source of power, Software Industry entirely depends on it. Every business, every project, every transaction completely depends on the electric wires and optic fibers which are mostly down.
Due to the fact that Software Industry runs on electricity, and its load shedding was greatly affecting growth and productivity, a council was recently formulated by the software houses. This Council took a major step forward towards establishing a permanent solution for the raised issue. The members were the software houses. The council recently passed a resolution unanimously. This resolution was completely based on the issue of load shedding and the way it affected everyday business in the software sector. The resolution was unanimously signed by all the heads of the software houses. It stated that various companies will be transferring all their electrical appliances, especially PCs, to gas. Pakistan is rich in natural resources and gas is one of them.
The gas available in winter is used by the whole nation. The switch from electricity to gas was the result of the constant loss and failure on part of the government to provide the software sector, or even the public, with electricity. Things started to change since the PCs were now working on the CNG, without any power failures. Productivity greatly increased and progress took a new turn. Every sector flourished. As the winter season came forward things started withering.
The first thing which was affected was the productivity. The reason being when most of the people were using CNG, there resulted a shortage and thus government made an announcement which said,
“Faced with tough resistance from the CNG Association in form of strikes, the Government is now left with no option but to shift the burden of gas load shedding to the domestic sector, sources told The Nation on Friday.”
Benefit for software industry was the main goal, but the consequences were faced by local public. Thus you often observe cars standing in the middle of the road or we often observe people pushing the car from one end to the other. Ok wait! Where did the car come in from, all this time we had been referring to PC, the personal car.
