Installing and Configuring FTP on Ubuntu

This weeks tutorial will help you in Installing and configuring FTP on Ubuntu

Terminal based installations

  • Go to Terminal Applications → Accessories → Terminal
  • sudo su -
  • Enter the password
  • echo sudo apt-get install gftp

Where it resides

Applications → Internet → gFtp

Gftp is very easy to use just like CuteFtp. You can bookmarks all your Ftp sites. But for using Secure Ftp you need the the following setting as mentioned in the below image.
